History

In the year 1994, some professional social worker and few well known worker of this region felt that their few District in West Bengal, (specially Birbhum, Purulia,Bankura, few parts of North 24 parganas and South 24 Parganas.) where SC & ST people are backward from every prospect, Specially Woman and Children are not getting their rights properly. These areas are characterized by predominance of trafficking is an indication of some form of structural disorganization and an outcome of multiple social, economic and cultural factors. The most immediate concerns responsible for growing phenomena of Woman and Child trafficking in the area are: poverty, illiteracy and ignorance of parents/community peoples, disproportionate student-teacher ratio in schools ,low income, larger family size, disguised unemployment, poor communication, poor attitude, insensitive civil society, lack of political will, absence of proper legislation. Structural change in the erstwhile village economy owing to liberalization has rendered many families out of gear in the economic front. This has influenced the drift of population from rural to urban areas as seen in these areas. An emerging vested interest group is indulged in trafficking on Woman & Children and exploit the vulnerability of the women and children and the family, as well. So, to reduce these social problems seven social workers come together & oath to work for backward class and weaker sections specially for women & children. So they jointly take an initiative to form an organization which is known as DSWS(Dhagagia Social Welfare Society). To achieve the objectives of the organization they make some rules & regulation also.
